Rush

Also: Goldrush, Pond, Lake, Gunner. I was surprised to not see Goldrush on the list! And that there are few that reflect the breed's purpose: the Cadillac of bird & gun dogs.
The best dog I ever had was registered as Meadowpond's Goldrush Dazzle. We just called him Rush. He was lean & fast, dark gold & often mistaken for an Irish Setter. He didn't have good GR confirmation, but he was a dynamite hunting dog. My hubby's buddies all hunted with Labs. Rush could swim as far as any of them. And when their Labs couldn't find that duck down in heavy brush & cattails, the guys came and got Rush. It was the ultimate compliment. He never gave up until he found his bird.
In the water or on upland game, he was the best; at home, he was our humble family dog who slept in our bed. I sure do miss my good boy Rush.
