Elwood

Big, sweet, loved by all (even kids afraid of dogs). I will always miss you!

Our other dog, Jake, was 6 when he got out of the groomer's office because she didn't quite latch the door. We looked and looked for him and while searching at one of the dog pounds, I saw an adorable puppy. He was a Border Collie/Great Dane mix (and possibly Kodiak bear!). My husband told me I could have him on one condition; if I named him Elwood for Jake and Elwood from "The Blues Brothers." I thought it was a silly name but I wanted him.
We never found our Jake but we always hoped we would and kept him close to us by naming the puppy Elwood.
Elwood died a few weeks shy of his 15th birthday and he was DEFINITELY an Elwood!
