Boxer

My family owned a boxer, Baxter, as I was growing up. He eventually became my dog and would pace by the windows and door when it was time for me to come home from school. However, he did not chose one owner and bond with me. Whereas I was clearly his owner, he was friendly and warm to everyone. He was highly affectionate and completely loyal. He was also fantastic with small children; my niece learned how to walk by climbing on him.
Baxter died about 8 months ago at the age of 9. He lived a nice, full life and will leave an impact on my life forever.
It should be noted that he had some major allergies, though! He was allergic to grass! Go figure.
