Donning our dog naming thinking caps, we tried to envision unique names for dogs that might best work on a given breed. At first glance, one would think that any name would work on any dog breed, but we soon found ourselves realizing this was not the case. As an example, taking into account the appearance, disposition and size of a Chihuahua, we couldn’t see one being named Lassie or Muscles, nor could we see giving a German Shepherd the name of Baxter or Beans. We like dogs too much to suggest those names for either breed! Instead, we did our doggone best to suggest names that we felt would not only match a certain dog type, but names that were unique enough to be considered one of a kind, just like your dog.
