Husky dog names are typically a little more difficult to come up with because often owners want to find a name that is as unique as the breed. While the most common Husky is the Siberian Husky, this name has become synonymous with the Alaskan Husky, and often the name is used interchangeably. The Alaskan Husky is actually not a true breed, but instead encompasses a variety of different dogs used as sled dogs in the great Northwest.

The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog with a dense double coat that has very distinctive markings, typically with a white underbelly and grey to black on the back, head, and down the legs. The Siberian Husky is named because it originates in Siberia and is an extremely resilient and hardy dog because of this. The most unique physical characteristic about this breed is that many have blue eyes, or even one blue and one brown eye.
