Dog Names List
More Names Submitted By Readers
This Dog Names List continues on with the names of all types of dogs that our readers have shared. There are 2 good reasons for sharing another page of reader submitted names, they are… 1. It gives you the opportunity to see what others have named their own dog and why. By doing a dog names list page such as this, it puts a personal touch to the dog naming process, rather than just fetching a name off a list. Some people prefer it this way. 2. It immortalizes the name of the dog submitted. If your dog Scruffy meant a lot to you, isn't it cool to think old Scruffs name is being viewed around the world on the Internet? Here's the Dog Names List kindly submitted by our readers…

Introduce Yourself: Marjorie Your Dog Name(s): Cholo Why You Chose It: I named him after my favorite charactr in my favorite tv show
Introduce Yourself: Briana Your Dog Name(s): Bali, Ravyn, and Naika Why You Chose It: I have had a lot of dogs in my life and some with some really unique names, I like to be creative.
Bali (prounounced bailey) is a rat terrier, male not female though the name does seem to suggest 'female' but the name was actually French or Italian (one of the two, I can't seem to recall, as I did alot of research). It was either Bali or Doby and somehow Doby didn't seem to fit. Next on the menu is Ravyn! (prounonced as raven) He is a splendid looking rat terrier, also male. What is with this girl naming male dogs girl names? The word "Raven" can be both girl or boy. The name "Ravyn" is actually an older male name, somewhere along history anyway I named him that for 2 reasons mainly. 1. The day I got him, I also got a book and the main character was "Ravyn" a knight. 2. He is a black bi meaning he is black with white. He looks as if he belly flopped through white paint! Now Naika, she's a sweet little Jack Rat Terrier (jack russell terrier and rat terrier cross breed). Some people stumble of her name. It's really quite simple. You say it like Ni-e-ka. When I first got her she whined constantly, that's to be expected of course. To the best of my knowledge "Naika" isn't a word nor a meaning, only my dog's name. "Laika" means whiner, or barker in Russian and originally I was going to name her that but my sister couldn't prounce it right so we dropped the 'L' and added the "N". Anyhow those are my babies!
